The Sydney Sixers and Brisbane Heat will compete in the Big Bash League (BBL) 2022–23’s last playoff game on Thursday, February 2. The location of the match is Sydney Cricket Ground. The grand finale, which is scheduled for February 4, will feature the Perth Scorchers and the victor of this playoff game.
The Sixers’ most recent match ended in a loss against the Perth Scorchers, but they still have a chance to go to the competition final. The Sixers had a remarkable run in the latter part of the season, winning five straight league games, until their seven-wicket loss against the Scorchers.
Alternatively, Brisbane Heat had a late comeback, in the second part of the season. On a hard route to this game, they defeated Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Renegades. Even though they came in fifth after the league stages, the Heats played well when it mattered most.
They are just one game away from taking part in the BBL 2022–23 championship game. It should be mentioned that Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, and Matt Renshaw, the Brisbane Heat’s three most important players, are not participating in today’s game. Due to Australia’s Test Tour of India, the trio won’t be present. Steve Smith won’t be available for the Sixers for the same reason.
